Train and Goo Goo Dolls Performing at Blossom

Last night at Blossom, Train started its 18-song set by playing “Calling All Angels,” a hit from 2003’s My Private Nation album. During the concert’s second song, “50 Ways to Say Goodbye,” confetti canons fired into the crowd, sending white and red confetti throughout the entire pavilion. During “Save Me San Francisco,” a fan favorite, about 100 blown-up beach balls of all shapes and sizes were tossed in the air from person to person.

“Meet Virginia” had the crowd roaring, and singer Patrick Monahan threw about a dozen free T-shirts into the first few rows of the crowd. After Monahan gave a heartfelt shoutout to a close loved one that he had lost earlier in his life, everyone’s cell phone lights and lighters went into the air during “When I Look to the Sky.”

Throughout the show, Train covered popular hits such as “American Girl,” “Under Pressure,” “Heartbreaker” and “Great Escape.” The band finished the concert with the very popular hit single, “Drops of Jupiter.”

Goo Dolls and singer-songwriter Allen Stone opened the show. (Katina Alexandria Scalia)
