The Opportunity Corridor, which took five years and $200 million to build, finally opened. Officials predict it will live up to its name, driving investment and development into neighborhoods that have been left behind. Lots of folks are skeptical, however, pointing toward announcements such as the one for the new Cleveland police HQ along the corridor as evidence that the road will be sterile, unfriendly, and nothing more than a way for folks to drive a little quicker from the east to west side and vice versa.
