22 Cleveland Clambakes You Won't Want to Miss This Fall

Merwin’s Wharf

Where: 1785 Merwin Ave., Cleveland
When: Oct. 4 - 26, from 3 p.m. - 11 p.m., Saturdays and 3 p.m.- 9 p.m., Sundays
Menu: Clambakes are available for $25 and lobsterbakes for $35. Clambakes include: one dozen steamed clams, half a grilled organic chicken, Ohio sweet corn on the cob, roasted potatoes and a cup of Manhattan clam chowder. Lobsterbakes feature one and a half pounds of Maine lobster, Ohio sweet corn on the cob, roasted potatoes and a cup of Manhattan clam chowder. À la carte options include a dozen steamed clams for $13 and a dozen clams added to any dinner entrée or lobsterbake for only $7.

Fisher’s American Tavern

Where: 28020 Miles Rd., Solon
When: Every Thursday, Friday and Saturday through October.
Menu: The clambake includes a dozen clams, a half roasted chicken, corn on the cob, sweet or baked potato, clam broth, New England clam chowder, and a roll with cinnamon butter for $29.95. (Extra dozen for $12) They also have a New York strip steak bake for $35.95 and a clamless chicken bake for $19.95.

Forest City Brewery

Where: 2135 Columbus Rd., Cleveland
When: Saturday, Oct. 12, 2-7 p.m.
Menu: 40 gets you one dozen Middleneck Clams, half of a smoked chicken, sweet potato, corn and butter and a roll. The special drinks are one Forest City Beer and one specialty Till Vodka cocktail. Extras: 1 dozen clams - $9, half a smoked chicken costs you $9, and a one and a quarter pound lobster is $20.

When: Through Oct. 26, after 5 p.m.

When: Every Friday and Saturday through Oct. 26, after 4 p.m.
Menu: Four courses, starting with homemade clam chowder, then one dozen middleneck clams, the choice of a cornish hen for $29 or beef filet for $37, sweet corn on the cob, sweet potato bake, homemade white clam pasta, and Chef Bruno’s choice of dessert.

Broadview Heights Firefighter’s Clam Bake

Where: 9543 Broadview Rd., Broadview
When: Saturday, Oct. 5 from 6 p.m.-8 p.m., dancing until midnight
Menu: One dozen clams, clam chowder, corn on the cob, sweet potato, cole slaw, a roll and pop, with chicken for $35 and with steak for $42. Free hot dogs and Gionino’s pizza for children. $10 for a dozen extra clams.

When: Every Sunday from Sept. 29-Nov. 17, 4 p.m.-6 p.m.
Menu: For $32, guests receive endless clam chowder with bacon and corn, field green salad, one dozen clams, lemon-thyme roasted chicken, garlic green beans, roasted Yukon gold potatoes, and corn on the cob. Upgrades to sirloin steak, children’s prices, and desserts are also available. Reservations required

When: 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Closed Sundays.
Menu: $19.75 per bake, $8.25 per extra dozen clams. All clambakes include: one dozen clams, washed and bagged, sweet potato, 1/2 of a 3 lb chicken, ear of corn, dinner roll, paper products (hot cup, butter cups, clam bowls, paper plates, and silverware), butter, and celery (used for flavoring). All bakes are packed in a returnable pot/steamer.
