The Federal Trade Commission’s Bureau of Consumer Protection revealed that the Cancer Fund of America, among other major non-profit charities, were spending up to 97 percent of donations on private fundraisers and personal indulgences.

In light of the scam that has devastated generous donors and the billions of people affected by cancer, we present and handful of local organizations that guarantee to put donation money to better use than a tab at Hooters.
