Dog lovers have the chance to make more furry friends this Sunday at Woofstock, the largest canine festival in Northeast Ohio. With live music, parades, and an all-day adopt-a-thon, the Woofstock festival raises money for the Rescue Village animal shelter and brings rescued dogs into the spotlight.
Eleven local shelters will join Rescue Village at Cleveland Metroparks Polo Field in Chagrin Falls for Woofstocks adoption fair, Rescue Rrrow. Many of the shelters vary their rescues by breed, like the Buckeye Bulldog Rescue, Doberman Underground, and Midwest Boston Terrier Rescue. Visitors who arent all too particular about their puppies can find all-dog shelters like the Cleveland Animal Protective League, or Ruff House Animal Rescue. While more shelters have joined Rescue Rrrow than in past years, original partners, like the Geauga County Dog Shelter & Warden's Office, remain a staple of the adoption fair. With a diverse offering of shelters and dogs, there are plenty of options to adopt a rescue.
The dogs featured in this slideshow can be adopted through these participating shelters and rescues, although not all are guaranteed to be at the Woofstock event. Each shelter and rescue has its own adoption process.
Woofstock runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and entry starts at $5. Find out plenty more about the event here.
