This chic and funky wine bar is one of the best decorated joints in town. Their always-changing entrees are offered in addition to a wide array of their signature bruschetta bars, paninis, salads and small plates. We love their brunch as well.

Boss Dog Brewing Company

2179 Lee Rd., Cleveland Heights

After a few-year vacancy left by the beloved Lemon Grass, Boss Dog took over the space and opened to much fanfare in late 2017. The microbrewery is the standout but the food isn’t far behind. Try some dishes like the candied bacon pizza, chicken fried duck and the potato pancake chicken salad sandwich.

Tree Country Bistro

1803 Coventry Rd., Cleveland Heights

Part of Coventry Village's restaurant row, this comfy bistro serves a pan-Asian menu, with a focus on Japanese, Thai, and Korean cuisines. They have a big lineup of sushi as well. The pad see you is one of our favorite dishes on this extensive menu that goes on for 11 pages.

Boiling Seafood Crawfish

2201 Lee Rd., Cleveland Heights

It’s absolutely worth getting your fingers messy at this Asian/Cajun fusion spot. If you were to cross a Louisianan crab boil with a Szechuan dry pot, this is what would come out the other end. Seafood is boiled in a flavorful broth, tossed in an aggressively seasoned spice mixture, and delivered to the table in clear plastic bags.

High Thai’d

At High Thai'd, chef and owner Tony Chaichana has developed a healthy, vegetarian-friendly menu that emphasizes low-sodium soy sauce, brown and jasmine rice, fresh, locally grown vegetables and no MSG. In addition to High Thai'd's vegetarian specialties, any item on the menu can be prepared for non-carnivores. The menu is based on the Thai concept of combining flavors — salty, sweet, sour, and spicy — so that a different dimension unfolds with every bite.

Known mostly for their artisan breads and mouth-watering pastries, we had to include this spot because it’s casual and local atmosphere is quintessential Cleveland Heights. The sandwiches may be simple, but the freshly-baked bread they come on takes them to another level. The prosciutto sandwich with honey butter and arugula is our favorite.

One of two Ethiopian restaurants in town is located in Cleveland Heights, on historic Lee Road. Ethiopian food fits nicely with the current trends of veganism and vegetarianism as meat is not a big part of this type of cuisine so if you’re looking for a new spot, check this place out.

Momo’s Kebab

When Momo’s opened in 2015, it was the perfect addition for the eclectic Lee Road dining scene that features Turkish, Mexican, Ethiopian, Thai and Italian cuisines. If you haven’t had Moroccan food before, get to Momo’s now for the colorful and wide-ranging tastes offered.

Dewey’s Pizza

A fine choice for families, this bright, contemporary pizza parlor offers freshly-made pies, wholesome salads and a concise selection of beer and wine, including eight microbrews on draft. Friendly staffers take small fries in stride, and while Mom and Dad unwind, the kiddies can safely watch the chefs at work from behind a glass partition.
