The Detroit-Superior Bridge (also known as the Veteran's Memorial Bridge) has remained a fixture in the Cleveland skyline since its construction between 1912 and 1917. Writes Cleveland Historical, "This 3,112-foot-long compression arch, suspended-deck bridge was the first fixed high-level bridge in the city and, for a time, one of the largest steel and concrete reinforced bridges in the world." That's all pretty neat, and got us thinking -- what was the construction process of this beaut like?
