Gogol Bordello Performing at the Agora Theatre

Led by madcap singer Eugene Hutz, an engaging performer who regularly ran the length of the stage and hopped atop speaker monitors, the gypsy punk band Gogol Bordello played a high-energy two-hour set at the Agora Theatre last night before a crowd that filled most of the theater's lower level. Tracks such as the woozy waltz "Start Wearing Purple" and the Clash-like anthem "Immigrant Punk" — two highlights from the terrific performance — became rowdy sing-alongs.
