Green Tara Yoga & Healing Arts - 2450 Fairmount Blvd, Cleveland Heights
Green Tara Yoga & Healing Arts follows the Iyengar Yogic tradition. Iyengar Yoga was developed by B.K.S. Iyengar, who many consider responsible for bringing yoga to the west. Their studio boasts small classes of 12-18 students and plenty of yoga props, including a rope wall. Their classes are enumerated by difficulty level, and they even feature an "open practice" class where students can do their own thing amidst fellow yogis, kind of like going to study in a coffee shop or working out at the gym. There's No Place Like Om - 5409 Detroit Ave
One of the more interesting things about this studio is that they offer "Buck Naked Yoga." Yep, it's just what it sounds like. CNN did a video about the men-only class that is exclusively offered by studio owner Buck Harris back in 2012. They offer other classes, too, if naked yoga doesn't sound appealing. Your first class is free, which is always a plus when you're searching for a studio you like. (Photo via clevelandyoga.net)
